To lead the procurement lifecycle and warehouse management strategies. The AGM is responsible for optimizing material costs, ensuring high-quality sourcing of construction materials (Steel, Cement, MEP, Finishing), and maintaining rigorous inventory controls across multiple project sites to prevent wastage and pilferage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Procurement & Sourcing

  • Vendor Development: Identify, evaluate, and onboard high-quality vendors and manufacturers. Negotiate annual rate contracts (ARCs) for bulk materials like cement and steel.
  • Cost Optimization: Implement value-engineering strategies to reduce material costs without compromising project quality or safety.
  • Budgetary Control: Monitor project procurement budgets and provide variance analysis to the management.

2. Store & Inventory Management

  • Inventory Control: Oversee the "Store-to-Site" movement. Implement systems for FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and shelf-life management for perishable materials (e.g., chemicals, adhesives).
  • Wastage Mitigation: Conduct regular and surprise audits of site stores to minimize "shrinkage," theft, and onsite damage.
  • Stock Levels: Maintain optimum inventory levels (Min-Max levels) to ensure zero downtime in construction activities while avoiding over-stocking.

3. Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Digital Transformation: Oversee the implementation and usage of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Tally) for automated PO generation and GRN (Goods Received Note) tracking.
  • Quality Assurance: Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team to ensure all incoming materials meet technical specifications and IS codes.
  • Logistics & Customs: Manage the logistics of heavy machinery and, if applicable, handle import documentation for international specialized materials.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: B.Tech/B.E. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. A Post-Graduation in Supply Chain Management or an MBA is highly desirable.
  • Experience: 10–15 years in construction procurement, with at least 3–5 years in a senior managerial capacity.
  • Familiarity with Taxation (GST), Freight, and Octroi regulations.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation skills, high integrity, and the ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment.
