We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Agricultural Hydraulic Equipment Service Technician to join our unique service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, good mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to delivering quality service. You will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing various types of agricultural equipment in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with proven proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems, welding, fabrication and 12-volt electronics will be considered for a higher pay rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of agricultural equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine service tasks such as oil changes, lubrication, filter replacement, and tire service.
- Troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems.
- Troubleshooting and working with 12-volt electrical systems.
- Welding and fabrication.
- Use shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and technical manuals to complete service work efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors and team members to ensure timely job completion and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications to Apply:
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems required.
- Proficiency in 12-volt electrical systems preferred.
- Proficiency in welding and fabrication required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience using common shop tools (e.g., wrenches, grinders, hoists, multimeters, pneumatic tools).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. (A background check is part of the hiring process)
- Strong understanding of time management and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with peers, supervisors, and occasionally customers.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment technologies and service techniques.
- Familiarity with agricultural machinery and implements is a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Positive employment references will be requested as part of the hiring process.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work in shop and field environments, in varying weather conditions.
- Working in the shop and on the field during service calls.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Occasional overtime or weekend work will be required.
