Hasiru Farms is a premium agricultural land development and managed farming company focused on sustainable farming, horticulture development, soil health enhancement, and long-term farm asset value creation. We develop and manage farmland projects integrating horticulture, vegetable cultivation, and regenerative agriculture practices.

Position Summary

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Agronomist (MSc Agriculture) who will be responsible for overall farm health management, horticulture planning, vegetable crop production, soil fertility management, and integrated pest control across our managed farmland projects.

The candidate will play a key role in improving productivity, ensuring scientific crop planning, and implementing sustainable agricultural practices.

Key Responsibilities1. Farm Health Management

  • Monitor overall crop health across farm layouts.
  • Conduct regular field inspections and crop audits.
  • Diagnose nutrient deficiencies and plant disorders.
  • Implement preventive and corrective measures.
  • Maintain farm health records and reporting systems.

2. Horticulture & Vegetable Crop Management

  • Plan and execute plantation schedules (fruit crops, vegetables, intercrops).
  • Supervise nursery management and sapling quality.
  • Develop crop calendars based on season and soil type.
  • Ensure high yield and quality standards.
  • Guide spacing, irrigation scheduling, pruning, and canopy management.

3. Soil Health & Fertility Management

  • Conduct soil testing and analyze reports.
  • Develop soil nutrition plans.
  • Implement organic and integrated nutrient management practices.
  • Recommend composting, green manure, and bio-input usage.
  • Improve soil organic carbon and long-term fertility.

4. Pest & Disease Control

  • Identify pests and diseases at early stages.
  • Implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies.
  • Recommend eco-friendly and sustainable pest control solutions.
  • Monitor pesticide usage and ensure compliance with safety norms.
  • Train farm supervisors and labor teams on pest prevention methods.

5. Irrigation & Water Management

  • Monitor drip irrigation systems.
  • Recommend water-efficient practices.
  • Plan irrigation schedules based on crop stage and soil moisture.

6. Team Supervision & Field Execution

  • Supervise farm supervisors and field workers.
  • Provide training on crop management practices.
  • Ensure daily farm activity execution.
  • Coordinate with procurement for agri-inputs.

7. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare monthly farm performance reports.
  • Maintain crop-wise productivity data.
  • Monitor cost vs yield metrics.
  • Provide scientific recommendations to management.

8. Sustainable & Regenerative Practices

  • Promote organic farming methods.
  • Implement mulching, crop rotation, cover cropping.
  • Support certification processes (if applicable).

Qualifications Required

  • MSc in Agriculture (Mandatory)
  • Specialization in Agronomy / Horticulture / Soil Science preferred.

Experience Required

  • 3–8 years of practical field experience.
  • Hands-on experience in:
  • Horticulture crops
  • Vegetable cultivation
  • Soil fertility management
  • Integrated pest management
  • Farm operations supervision

Experience in managed farmland projects or agri-real estate development is an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
