The AI Agent Developer is responsible for translating business challenges into practical, automated solutions using modern AI tools and agent frameworks. This entry-level role focuses on building reliable AI-driven agents that streamline internal workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve operational consistency across teams.
This position works closely with business stakeholders to understand operational needs, ask thoughtful questions, and design solutions that are practical, scalable, and aligned with day-to-day business processes. Rather than developing complex machine learning models or research systems, the AI Agent Developer focuses on implementing and maintaining applied AI solutions using platforms and APIs such as OpenAI and Anthropic.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, build, and maintain AI agents that automate internal business processes and workflows
Work directly with internal teams to understand their operational pain points and translate them into clear, scoped requirements
Document agent logic, workflows, and technical decisions in a way that non-technical stakeholders can follow
Communicate project status, blockers, and timelines proactively to relevant team members
Test and iterate on agents based on user feedback and real-world performance
Identify opportunities where AI automation could meaningfully reduce manual effort or error rates
Manage your own workload and priorities across multiple projects or requests at once
Support teammates and stakeholders with clear explanations of how agents work and what they can—and can't—do EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1+ year of hands-on experience building AI-powered tools, agents, or automations required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Working knowledge of OpenAI and/or Anthropic APIs (prompt design, function calling, tool use)
Strong written and verbal communication—you can explain technical concepts without jargon
Highly organized: you track your own work, follow through on commitments, and don't let things fall through the cracks
Comfortable gathering requirements from stakeholders who may not know exactly what they want
Able to manage competing priorities without losing clarity on what matters most
Detail-oriented—you notice when something is slightly off and you do something about it
Collaborative by default: you ask for input, share context, and loop people in at the right times
Comfortable working independently in a hybrid environment without needing constant direction
Last Date Reviewed:
Experience working on cross-functional projects that required coordination across departments
Background in or exposure to business analysis, project coordination, or process improvement
Familiarity with workflow automation platforms such as n8n, Make, or Zapier
Experience documenting business requirements or creating process documentation
Understanding of how to identify and reduce operational bottlenecks
