Job Summary


This role will be employed by Hartree Partners and embedded within Westway Feed Products , an ED&F Man Commodities business .


We are seeking an AI Enablement Analyst to play a key role in advancing how data, analytics, and AI are used across commercial, operations, and finance teams.


Supporting Westway Feed Products, North America’s largest manufacturer of liquid livestock supplements, you will help transform how a global agricultural manufacturing business leverages data and technology. Operating across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, Westway has a strong focus on sustainability through the use of co-products.


This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of business and technology, where you will identify inefficiencies, design intelligent solutions, and embed AI-driven capabilities into day-to-day workflows. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organisation, delivering tangible improvements in productivity, insight generation, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities & Duties


  • Work directly with business teams (commercial, operations, finance, logistics) to understand workflows, pain points, and inefficiencies
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, and data solutions to improve productivity and decision-making
  • Design and implement AI-enabled workflows, including:
  • Reporting and analytics automation
  • Data ingestion and transformation pipelines
  • Process automation across operational and finance workflows
  • AI-powered insights and summarisation tools
  • Develop and maintain prompt libraries, agent workflows, and reusable automation patterns
  • Ensure solutions are accurate, auditable, and aligned with business controls and governance requirements
  • Partner with internal technology teams to integrate solutions into production environments
  • Drive adoption through stakeholder engagement, training, and continuous feedback
  • Continuously evaluate new AI tools and approaches to improve business processes


Requirements: education, competencies & skills


• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

• 2–5 years of experience in:

• Finance, operations, trading, or analytics roles OR technology/data roles supporting business functions

• Strong understanding of data workflows, reporting, and business processes

• Experience with Python, SQL, or similar tools for data analysis and automation

• Exposure to AI/LLMs, prompt engineering, or workflow automation tools

• Ability to translate business requirements into practical, implementable solutions

• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment


Preferred Requirements


• Experience in commodities, agriculture, manufacturing, or supply chain environments

• Familiarity with ERP systems, operational data, or production workflows

• Experience building or deploying AI agents, RAG systems, or automation pipelines
