If you want a front-row seat to building something that matters, this is the place. If you want a job where someone tells you exactly what to do every day, this isn’t it.
We are looking for an AI and Data Analyst who can turn raw data into decisions that move the business. This is not a reporting seat where you build dashboards nobody reads. You will work directly with leadership and cross-functional teams to surface what matters, build the systems that keep it current, and apply AI tools to make our operations sharper and faster.
You will own data infrastructure, analytics, and intelligent automation across ecommerce, supply chain, customer experience, and marketing. If you get energized by real problems, real data, and the opportunity to build something from the ground up, we want to meet you.
Build and maintain dashboards and reports that give leadership clear, real-time visibility into sales, inventory, customer behavior, returns, and marketing performance.
Collect, clean, and analyze data from Shopify, NetSuite, Klaviyo, and other platforms to surface actionable insights across the business.
Develop and deploy AI-powered workflows using tools like Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, and other automation platforms to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
Build and maintain data pipelines and automation scripts that feed our reporting systems and business intelligence workflows.
Apply machine learning and generative AI techniques to real business challenges: demand forecasting, pricing analysis, customer segmentation, and inventory optimization.
Partner with operations, marketing, ecommerce, and procurement teams to define data needs and translate them into analytical frameworks that drive decisions.
Deliver weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting: sales trends, inventory health, channel performance, return rates, and customer behavior.
Support the buildout of Plug’s data infrastructure including data warehousing, tagging, and governance practices.
Conduct competitive and market analysis to inform pricing, product mix, and go-to-market decisions.
Translate complex findings into clear presentations and recommendations for executive leadership and non-technical teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
1 to 3 years of experience in a data analyst, business intelligence, or AI-adjacent role.
Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
Experience with data visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar.
Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and automation scripting.
Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts and a demonstrated interest in applying them to business problems.
Strong analytical thinking with the ability to connect data to business outcomes: not just build reports, but drive action.
Excellent written and verbal communication: you can make data understandable and compelling to any audience.
Experience with Shopify, NetSuite, Klaviyo, or other ecommerce and ERP platforms.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, or comparable AI automation tools.
Background in ecommerce, retail, or certified pre-owned and recommerce industries.
Exposure to generative AI tools (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) and prompt engineering for business workflows.
Experience with ETL processes, data pipelines, or cloud platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or AWS.
Experience with A/B testing, customer segmentation, or predictive modeling.
You think the job is done when the dashboard is built.
You need perfect, clean data before you can do anything useful.
You prefer to stay in the data and let someone else figure out what it means.
You want a fully built data stack handed to you on day one.
We are building something real in St. Louis. The data infrastructure, the AI workflows, the analytics layer: most of it is still being built. That is the opportunity. If you can look at a growing ecommerce business and immediately see where the insights are hiding: and you have the skills and drive to go get them: we want to talk.
