Internship Opportunity: AI Data Analyst Intern
Elessent Clean Technologies is seeking an AI Data Analyst Intern to support teams in working smarter and faster through AI tools and automation. In this role, you will collaborate across departments to understand workflows, identify process bottlenecks, and help build practical solutions — such as lightweight scripts, automations, AI-powered assistants, and reporting tools — that reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
This internship offers hands-on exposure to a variety of short, high-impact projects, typically lasting 2–8 weeks, so you can quickly see the results of your work. You will work with modern tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and Power BI to prototype solutions, create internal tools, build AI agents, and develop reports that support better decision-making across the business.
We welcome students and early-career candidates from a range of backgrounds, including degree programs, bootcamps, certifications, or self-directed learning. What matters most is curiosity, adaptability, clear communication, and a strong interest in using AI to solve real business problems.
What You’ll Do

• Meet with internal teams to understand their workflows, identify inefficiencies, and help evaluate opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT for general research, content generation, workflow support, and rapid prototyping.
• Use development environments such as Cursor to help build and refine lightweight scripts, automations, and technical solutions.
• Help design and build AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio to support internal workflows and business processes.
• Assist with the creation of Power BI reports and dashboards that turn business data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Assist with training and support by helping create simple guides, demonstrations, and hands-on sessions that show employees how to use AI effectively.
• Help organize and streamline data by using AI-assisted methods to extract, structure, and validate information from documents, spreadsheets, and emails.
• Contribute to automations and reporting solutions that integrate with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Power BI.
• Communicate findings and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support small projects from idea to implementation, including testing, documentation, and user feedback.

What Success Looks Like

During the internship, success may include:

• Contributing to 1–2 scoped automations that reduce manual effort or improve turnaround time.
• Assisting in the development of a basic document-extraction or knowledge-capture workflow.
• Creating or supporting at least one Power BI report or dashboard that improves visibility into a business process or dataset.
• Helping develop or refine an internal AI agent in Copilot Studio for a targeted business use case.
• Providing clear project updates and documentation for stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications (What you must bring)

• Current enrollment in, or recent completion of, a degree program, technical training program, bootcamp, or equivalent self-directed learning experience.
• Demonstrated interest in AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Microsoft Copilot Studio, or similar platforms for research, analysis, automation, and workflow improvement.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to break down processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic familiarity with scripting or programming concepts (Python, VBA or another language is helpful), or a willingness to learn with AI-assisted support.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Interest in data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI.
• Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous internship, academic project, or personal project involving automation, AI, data analysis, process improvement, dashboard/report development, or chatbot/agent creation.
• Experience creating presentations, documentation, or training materials.
• Familiarity with AI-based summarization, data extraction, reporting workflows, or low-code/no-code automation tools such as Power Automate.
• Exposure to Power BI, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Cursor, or similar modern AI and analytics platforms.
• Interest in applying AI to engineering, operations, or business process optimization.
