Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data & AI Consultant to support the Department of the Air Force (DAF) in designing and implementing an enterprise-scale financial data automation ecosystem.
This role will focus on integrating Financial Management (FM) data sources, automating critical workflows, and enabling advanced analytics and AI-driven capabilities to enhance operational efficiency, reduce redundancy, and accelerate audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines integrating multiple financial data sources
- Lead the development of automated financial workflows to reduce manual processes
- Perform advanced data analysis using Python, PySpark, and SQL on large-scale datasets
- Architect and implement AI/ML and Generative AI (GenAI) solutions for financial analytics and reporting
- Develop and operationalize Agentic AI use cases for intelligent automation
- Implement and enhance OCR solutions to extract structured data from unstructured documents
- Utilize modern platforms such as Databricks, Palantir, and Microsoft Power Platform
- Build dashboards, reporting solutions, and data visualizations for executive and technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, engineering, and government stakeholders
- Present complex technical solutions and insights to leadership in a clear and actionable manner
Required Qualifications
- Active or Interim Secret Clearance (required to start)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or AI/ML development
Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Python (including PySpark)
- SQL
- Proven experience working with large, complex, and distributed datasets
- Hands-on experience implementing OCR technologies in production environments
Strong understanding of:
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Generative AI (GenAI)
- Large Language Models (LLMs) and real-world applications
- Experience with cloud/data platforms such as Databricks, Palantir, or Microsoft Power Platform
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Power Automate and/or Power Apps
- Prior experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or federal government clients
- Knowledge of financial systems, audit readiness, and compliance frameworks
- Experience delivering AI-driven automation solutions in enterprise environments
Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
