AI Developer (Computer Vision)

Octaloop IT & NS is seeking a talented and experienced AI Developer (Computer Vision) to join our growing team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or related technical field.
• 1+ years of experience developing and designing Computer Vision and/or Machine Learning technologies and systems on 3D reconstruction and mapping.
• 1+ years of experience engineering in C++ and/or Python
• Prototyping and engineering experience in at least ONE relevant specialization area in either Computer Vision or Machine Learning: SLAM State Estimation, Online Calibration, Sensor Fusion, 3D reconstruction, object detection, segmentation and tracking, scene understanding, or semantic segmentation.

Job Description:

• Design and develop novel computer vision and/or machine learning algorithms in areas such as: large scale mapping, reconstruction and scene understanding, real-time scene and object tracking, as well as semantic segmentation, depth sensing, generative approaches such as GANs, 3D stereo and volumetric reconstructions.
• Develop prototypes for future VR/AR/MR experiences, drive continued development, and integrate robust solutions into product.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and research teams in computer vision projects, machine learning, and graphics related product innovations.
• Participate in cutting edge research in computer vision that can be applied to AR/VR product development.

Required Attributes & Skills:

• 1+ years of industry experience in Computer Vision / Machine Learning or related fields.
• Experience with data preprocessing, augmentation, and annotation for computer vision tasks.
• Experience in object detection, image segmentation, and image classification.
• Experience dealing with shallow data sets and leveraging simulated data to augment a data set.
• Experience incorporating physics-based features alongside data-driven features.
• Experience running experiments that generate additional, usable data in a training/testing/validation sequence.
• Experience deploying computer vision systems in production environments.
• Experience leading technical teams in project execution.
• Proficiency in deep learning frameworks (Tensor Flow, PyTorch) for building and deploying CVML models.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
