AI Developer - Onsite

Job Description
Octaloop IT & NS is looking to immediately onboard an experienced AI Developer with strong Python skills and a solid background in applied machine learning. In this role, you’ll work on cutting-edge technologies such as 3D reconstruction, large-scale mapping, and advanced perception systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop algorithms for mapping, reconstruction, scene interpretation, real-time tracking, semantic segmentation, depth estimation, GAN-based modeling, stereo vision, and volumetric reconstruction.
• Prototype and refine solutions for next-generation VR/AR/MR applications, moving successful concepts into production.
• Collaborate closely with teams across machine learning, perception, and computer graphics.
• Contribute to research initiatives focused on enhancing AR/VR technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
• Master’s degree in CS, ML, or related domains is a plus.
• At least 1 year of experience developing ML-driven perception or 3D mapping/reconstruction systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python; familiarity with C++ is advantageous.
• Background in algorithms related to SLAM, calibration, sensor fusion, 3D reconstruction, object detection, segmentation, tracking, or scene understanding.

Required Skills & Attributes

• 1+ years of professional experience in machine learning, perception, or related areas.
• Experience with data preparation, augmentation, and annotation workflows.
• Practical exposure to detection, segmentation, or image classification tasks.
• Ability to work with limited datasets and enhance them using simulation or synthetic augmentation techniques.
• Understanding of integrating physics-based and data-driven modeling approaches.
• Experience designing experiments and managing training/validation/testing pipelines.
• Prior work deploying ML or perception systems into production environments.
• Leadership experience or involvement in guiding technical project execution is a plus.
• Proficiency in TensorFlow and PyTorch with strong Python development skills.
• Strong communication abilities for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
