AI Engineer – Build Next-Gen AI Agent System

About the Role

We are building a AI Agent system designed for multi-channel communication, personalization, and seamless integration with external services. We are looking for an AI Engineer who can hit the ground running and take ownership of turning a high-level product vision into a working system.

You won’t just be coding — you will be expected to create the technical brief, define the architecture, and then implement the first production-ready version. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on engineering to bring the concept to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate high-level product requirements into a detailed technical brief and roadmap.
• Define and design the system architecture for an AI Agent that integrates communication, knowledge management, and control interfaces.
• Develop and deploy the AI Agent across multi-channel communication (voice, SMS, messaging, email, and portal).
• Build and maintain Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for dynamic knowledge bases.
• Set up and integrate with third-party APIs for communication, voice, and email services.
• Build user-facing portals/dashboards using low/no-code tools or custom full-stack development.
• Handle full-stack and front-end development as part of delivering the system.
• Ensure the solution is modular, scalable, and repeatable for future rollouts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong practical experience in AI/ML application development, especially with LLMs.
• Proven ability to design system architecture from minimal or high-level product requirements.
• Proficiency in Python, Node.js, React, or equivalent full-stack frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with RAG systems, vector databases, and orchestration layers.
• Skilled in integrating communication APIs (voice, SMS, messaging, email).
• Familiarity with low/no-code platforms (e.g., Make.com, Lovable) is a plus.
• Excellent English communication skills (speaking, reading, writing).
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and deliver results in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred Background

• O/A Levels with a BS in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Prior experience leading the technical design and build of AI-driven products or MVPs.
• Candidates from an upper-middle-class background in Karachi with strong communication and cultural alignment are encouraged to apply.
