AI Engineer - On-Site, Roseville/Sacramento CA (Claude/LLM)

About the role

CE Showroom is a fast-growing, AI-driven e-commerce company based in Roseville, California. For over a decade we've sold consumer electronics, appliances, and home goods across Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Shopify, and our own store — and a small, sharp team runs that high-volume operation by leaning hard on automation and AI.

Now we're turning the way we run our business with AI into a product. We're building an AI initiative — Seller Pilots — and we're hiring an AI Engineer at CE Showroom to design and build the autonomous AI advisor at the heart of it. To be clear: you'd be employed by CE Showroom; Seller Pilots is the project you'd help build.

This is a full-time, on-site role in the Roseville / greater Sacramento area — we work together, in person, so you'll need to be local or willing to commute.

What you'll build — an autonomous AI advisor that:

- Connects to the data: our database, Amazon SP-API, MS SQL, advertising APIs, and other marketplace APIs (Amazon, Walmart, and more) to pull in everything about a seller's account, ads, pricing, and inventory.

- Gathers the facts and asks the right questions: it talks to the user, asks clarifying questions before acting, and combines that with the data.

- Makes recommendations grounded in the facts — sometimes presenting Option A vs. Option B and letting the user choose.

- Lets the user stay in control: they can approve, ask for more detail, or pick an option.

- Then executes: once the decision is made, the system makes it happen across the marketplace accounts.

First focus is advertising automation, then price/inventory automation, then multichannel listing (pull product data from Amazon and Walmart and publish to Shopify and others). We prototype with Claude Code first, then build the proven system into the product.

You're the right person if:

- You know how to implement AI into a real business — figuring out how AI should plug into operations, data, and decisions, not just writing code. This is the heart of the job.

- You've built and shipped real systems with LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI, or similar) — things real users used, which you can explain in detail.

- You can design the architecture for an autonomous, multi-step AI system (agents, tool use, RAG, evals) — not just prototype it.

- You're comfortable wiring AI up to real APIs and databases (REST, SQL, SP-API or similar).

- You can work on-site in the Roseville / Sacramento area (local or willing to commute).

- A plus, not a must: a strong software-development background. AI tools handle much of the coding; what matters most is deep AI fluency.

The deal:

- Employer: CE Showroom, Inc. (Roseville, CA) — full-time, on-site.

- Base: $80,000–$150,000 USD, by skill and what you've built.

- Meaningful equity — real ownership, not a token grant.
