What is an AI Engineer - Teknosys?

The AI Engineer is a core technical role responsible for building, integrating, and operationalizing AI and machine learning solutions that deliver real business value. This role bridges data science and software engineering, focusing on transforming models and AI capabilities into robust, scalable, production-ready applications. The AI Engineer works closely with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to design and implement AI systems, including building data and inference pipelines, integrating models into enterprise applications, and ensuring performance and reliability in production environments. The role places strong emphasis on engineering rigor, system design, and the practical deployment of AI. Working within established standards and frameworks, the AI Engineer contributes to a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and responsible AI development. The role requires balancing rapid development with engineering discipline, ensuring that AI solutions are maintainable, efficient, and seamlessly integrated into broader systems.

What does an AI Engineer - Teknosys do?

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions and integrate them into production applications and enterprise systems
• Build and maintain scalable data, training, and inference pipelines
• Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize models and optimize them for performance and reliability
• Develop APIs and services to expose AI capabilities to downstream applications
• Implement and apply Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), including techniques such as prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
• Ensure AI systems meet standards for scalability, latency, security, and reliability
• Contribute to AIOps practices, including automated testing, deployment, and model monitoring
• Follow best practices across the AI/ML lifecycle, including documentation and version control
• Support responsible and ethical AI practices, including data privacy and model security
• Stay current with emerging AI tools, frameworks, and techniques
  
  

What are we looking for and what does it require to be an AI Engineer - Teknosys?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or related field
• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning engineering, or AI development
• Strong programming skills in Python (and familiarity with other languages such as Java, Go, or C++ is a plus)
• Experience building and deploying ML models into production environments
• Proficiency with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and AI/LLM tools and libraries
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and APIs
• Familiarity with front-end libraries and frameworks (e.g., React, Streamlit, Gradio) for building AI-powered interfaces and demos
• Familiarity with AIOps practices, CI/CD, and version control
