Role Description

We are seeking an AI-First Full Stack Developer for a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar.

This is not a traditional software development role. We are looking for someone who is deeply comfortable working in an AI-powered development environment and sees tools like Codex, Claude, Cursor, Copilot, and other AI coding collaborators as a natural extension of how great software should be built.

As a Full Stack Developer at Starise, you will build and maintain features across both frontend and backend systems while using AI-assisted workflows to move faster, think bigger, and execute better. You will work closely with product and design to turn ideas into elegant, scalable solutions, take ownership of features from concept to deployment, and help embed AI into both our product and our engineering culture.

The ideal candidate is not just technically strong, but also AI-friendly, AI-curious, and AI-native in the way they approach coding, debugging, documentation, testing, and product thinking. We want someone who actively leverages AI tools to improve development speed, code quality, system design, and problem-solving effectiveness.

You will contribute to architecture decisions, build reliable APIs and backend services, create intuitive frontend experiences, optimize application performance, and continuously improve how we ship software using modern AI-enabled development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full stack product features across frontend and backend systems
• Use AI-powered development tools such as Codex, Claude, Cursor, Copilot, and similar platforms to accelerate coding, prototyping, debugging, refactoring, and documentation
• Work closely with product and design teams to translate ideas into simple, scalable, and user-friendly product experiences
• Take ownership of features end-to-end, from architecture and implementation to testing, deployment, and iteration
• Design and integrate APIs, databases, and backend services that are reliable, secure, and scalable
• Help build AI-powered product capabilities and contribute to the integration of automation and intelligence into core workflows
• Improve engineering productivity by identifying opportunities to incorporate AI into development processes and team workflows
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while using modern tools and best practices to maximize output and quality
• Troubleshoot technical issues, optimize performance, and continuously improve platform reliability
• Contribute to a fast-moving startup culture that values initiative, speed, experimentation, and practical innovation

Qualifications

• Strong full stack software development experience across frontend and backend technologies
• Experience building scalable web applications, APIs, and database-backed systems
• Strong familiarity with modern web stacks such as TypeScript, React, Node.js, or similar technologies
• Demonstrated comfort using AI-powered coding tools and assistants as part of day-to-day software development
• AI-first mindset: someone who naturally thinks about how AI can improve code quality, development speed, testing, product design, and execution
• Experience or strong interest in building AI-powered features, workflow automation, or intelligent product experiences
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to independently break down complex technical challenges
• Ability to move quickly, take ownership, and thrive in a startup environment with high autonomy
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and modern engineering practices is highly desirable
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
