Why join Overture?

At Overture Games, we’re on a mission to help kids become creators through social, game-based, in-person experiences.

This winter we’re expanding our AI Game Design program, Create New Worlds, because we’ve seen strong demand from families. Our team started three years ago when our founders met at Northwestern University. We’ve grown quickly, raised investment to build our own game technology, and we’re building the future of creative learning—music, games, and now AI literacy. Ready to help kids build worlds (and learn AI safely)?

Benefits

  • Flexible Hours: 2–10 hours/week. Choose your days within after-school hours (3:00pm–5:00pm).
  • Impact: Help kids build real-world skills: creative thinking, writing, problem solving, digital literacy, and AI ethics.
  • Competitive Compensation: $70/hr + bonus opportunities
  • Professional Development: Training + ongoing support. Learn a modern creative-tech curriculum you can grow with.

Responsibilities

1) Teach “Create New Worlds” classes for children

  • Deliver engaging lessons to 5–12 students (roughly ages 8–14, varies by site)
  • Lead a high-energy, hands-on program centered on:

Storytelling + world-building
Game design thinking (characters, mechanics, missions, maps, rules)
AI literacy + AI safety (age-appropriate, teacher-supervised)

2) Facilitate, adapt, and give feedback

  • Keep students engaged and collaborating (this is interactive, not lecture-based)
  • Problem-solve in the classroom and provide fast feedback to improve the program

3) Come prepared

  • Review our lesson plans and tools (provided)
  • Use our classroom tech stack (web tools + curriculum) to run smooth sessions

4) Participate in training

  • Complete onboarding + training sessions before leading classes
  • Join periodic coaching/check-ins as we scale

What We’re Looking For

  • Curiosity about creative tech (AI, games, storytelling, design—even if you’re new)
  • Always learning and open to feedback
  • Enjoys working with kids and can lead a group confidently
  • Great communicator with students and parents
  • High-energy facilitator who can turn a room into a creative studio fast

Extra Credit

  • Classroom management experience
  • Background in any of: group teaching, camp counseling, youth mentorship
  • Interest in writing, art, game design, robotics, STEM/STEAM
  • Experience working at schools, after-school programs, or community centers

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $70.00 per hour
