AI Prompt Engineer Trainee

We are seeking an experienced AI Prompt Engineer to design, optimize, and manage prompts and workflows for advanced AI models. This role blends creativity, analytical thinking, and technical skill to build high-quality AI outputs, improve model performance, and support teams in integrating AI into their daily work.

Key Responsibilities1. Prompt Design & Optimization

• Develop, test, and refine prompts for LLMs (e.g., GPT-4/5.1, Claude, Gemini).
• Create reusable prompt templates and frameworks for consistent outputs.
• Conduct A/B testing to evaluate prompt effectiveness and performance.
• Ensure prompts meet accuracy, tone, and compliance requirements.

2. AI Workflow Development

• Build automated AI workflows and chains using tools like LangChain, OpenAI API, or vector databases.
• Integrate AI models into products, internal tools, and business processes.
• Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and prompt-chaining strategies.

3. Data Analysis & Model Evaluation

• Review AI outputs for quality, bias, hallucinations, and errors.
• Collaborate with data scientists to evaluate model performance metrics.
• Provide feedback loops to improve model results and reduce failure cases.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with product, engineering, marketing, and operations teams to understand AI use cases.
• Translate business requirements into effective AI prompts and instructions.
• Train non-technical staff on AI usage and prompt best practices.

5. Documentation & Knowledge Management

• Maintain documentation on prompt libraries, optimization techniques, and workflows.
• Establish and enforce internal prompt standards and guidelines.
• Share insights on emerging AI tools, trends, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of LLM behavior, prompt strategies, and generative AI.
• Proficiency with tools/APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or similar platforms.
• Ability to translate complex instructions into structured prompts.
• Experience with Python, data workflows, or automation tools is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

• Background in NLP, machine learning, data science, or software development.
• Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma).
• Familiarity with RAG, fine-tuning, or custom model training.
• Prior work in UX writing, technical writing, or content strategy.
