At Digitopia, we help B2B organizations build predictable, scalable revenue engines. As search evolves into an AI-first ecosystem, we’ve expanded our SEO practice to ensure our clients stay ahead of the curve.

The AI Search & SEO Specialist will own our entire SEO and AI Search lane, shaping the strategies, processes, and innovations that define our approach. You’ll operate as the internal expert, guiding Growth Strategists on search strategy, partnering with our technical SEO development team, and building the systems that keep us at the forefront of a rapidly changing search landscape.

This is a highly impactful role where your work directly influences client results, agency growth, and how we productize SEO for the future.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for our technical SEO development team, prioritizing monthly tasks, coordinating weekly alignment, and validating all technical implementations (schema, ADA compliance, image optimization, FAQs, etc.).
  • Build and maintain monthly SEO and AI Search roadmaps that align with client goals, Growth Strategist strategies, and evolving search algorithms.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword, entity, content, competitor, and AI Search visibility research to inform holistic search strategies.
  • Optimize on-page elements including titles, meta descriptions, headers, schema markup, canonicalization, image attributes, and link structures.
  • Lead the adoption and validation of structured data, ensuring accuracy and adherence to best practices. You’ll be responsible for overseeing this activity which is completed by our technical SEO development team.


  • Research and recommend emerging AI Search monitoring tools (SGE/AI Overviews visibility, entity extraction, structured data testing, etc.).
  • Create SEO- and AI Search-informed blog content briefs, ensuring writers can produce high-performing, high-quality content.
  • Track, analyze, and report on keyword rankings, organic traffic trends, entity visibility, AI Search exposure, and page experience insights.
  • Monitor algorithm updates (Google, Bing, SGE, Perplexity, etc.) and translate learnings into actionable recommendations for clients.
  • Maintain and improve internal AI Search & SEO processes, SOPs, templates, and QA systems for consistency and scale.
  • Support Growth Strategists by providing search strategy recommendations, insights, and occasional expert participation on client calls when needed.
  • Partner with Paid Search, Content, and HubSpot teams to create integrated cross-channel strategies that compound results.
  • Drive continuous improvement in our SEO productization including new offerings, frameworks, and thought leadership.
  • Champion a culture of experimentation (testing FAQs, schema adjustments, UX improvements, etc.)

Required Skills and Attributes

  • 2–4+ years of hands-on SEO experience, including technical, on-page, and content strategy.
  • Strong content SEO expertise - including the ability to create detailed keyword maps and conduct strategic keyword research.
  • Strong working knowledge of schema markup, structured data testing, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with AI Search: SGE/AI Overviews, multimodal search changes, entity optimization, and emerging search behaviors.
  • Ability to translate complex SEO concepts into clear, actionable plans for non-SEO specialists.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in GA4, GSC, and SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Similarweb.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and managing projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in staying ahead of industry changes.
  • Self-directed, curious, and eager to build new processes and frameworks.
  • Prior agency experience.

Bonus Skills and Attributes

  • Familiarity with accessibility (ADA) best practices.
  • Experience with HubSpot, especially its CMS and SEO tools.
  • Experience with WordPress and other CMS tools
  • Background in AI tools (e.g., content optimization, keyword clustering, entity modeling platforms).
  • Understanding of front-end basics (HTML/CSS/JS) for technical SEO collaboration.
  • Experience working with or managing external dev/SEO teams.
  • Passion for experimentation and building new internal systems.
