AI Solutions Engineer

Summary

We’re looking for an AI Solutions Engineer to be the connective tissue between our internal teams and our AI capabilities.

Every department at PLACE — Finance, Success, Marketing, Operations, HR — has problems that AI can solve. But right now, no one is dedicated to finding those problems, designing the solutions, and making sure they actually get built and adopted.

That’s you.

You’ll spend your time embedded across our departments, discovering where AI can save time or unlock new capabilities, then working side-by-side with our AI engineering team to ship those solutions. You’re not just gathering requirements — you’re a builder who can get things moving and drive projects from idea to live tool.

This is a high-visibility, high-impact role. You’ll work directly with department leads, AI engineers, and senior leadership. If you love translating messy real-world problems into elegant AI solutions — and you want to see your work actually used by hundreds of people — this is the role.

Responsibilities

• Meet directly with departments (sales, ops, marketing, finance, etc.) that have AI projects or pain points.
• Gather requirements, deeply understand their current workflows and processes, and identify where AI can create fast impact.
• Collaborate with the core AI team to design and deliver solutions—prototypes, internal tools, or full products—in days or weeks, not months.
• Build hands-on: code in Replit for rapid MVPs, VS Code/Cloud Code for robust development, and whatever else gets the job done (Python, LLMs, agents, automation, etc.).
• Solve internal problems with AI: automate workflows, build custom tools, or create production-ready features.
• Stay organized: document everything clearly, track progress, and keep multiple projects moving at speed.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills—you write clean, working code and love prototyping.
• Experience building AI/ML solutions (LLMs, agents, automation).
• Excellent at stakeholder interviews, workflow analysis, and turning business needs into technical specs.
• Highly organized and fast-paced—comfortable juggling requirements from multiple departments.
• Tools comfort: Replit, VS Code, Cloud Code (or similar IDEs/cloud environments).
• Bonus: Previous experience in cross-functional roles or internal consulting.
