AI Strategy & Implementation Associate

Position Overview

Bourne Partners is seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious AI Strategy & Implementation Associate to support the integration and deployment of AI-driven tools and workflows across our healthcare investment banking platform. This is a unique opportunity for a candidate with strong investment banking fundamentals who also possesses a deep interest in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.

This role will work closely with senior bankers, firm leadership, and operational teams to identify, design, and implement AI solutions that enhance efficiency, improve analytical capabilities, and drive competitive advantage across transaction execution, business development, research, and internal processes.

AI Strategy & Implementation

• Identify opportunities to deploy AI tools to improve productivity, data analysis, and decision-making across the firm
• Lead implementation of AI-enabled workflows for:
• Financial analysis and modeling automation
• Research and data aggregation
• Presentation and marketing material development
• CRM and business development optimization
• Internal knowledge management and process automation
• Evaluate emerging AI platforms, tools, and vendors relevant to investment banking and healthcare sectors
• Develop best practices, governance frameworks, and training materials for internal AI usage
• Partner with firm leadership to drive adoption and integration of AI initiatives

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Serve as an internal resource and thought partner on AI innovation
• Work closely with deal teams, marketing, compliance, and operations to implement scalable solutions
• Train and educate team members on new tools and AI-driven workflows

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Investment Banking Analyst
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
• Demonstrated interest, coursework, certifications, or practical experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation technologies, coding, and programming
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive problem-solving ability

Preferred

• Healthcare investment banking experience
• Experience implementing AI or automation tools in a professional environment
• Familiarity with AI platforms such as large language models, workflow automation tools, or data analytics platforms
• Experience with Python, SQL, data analytics, or automation tools is a plus (not required)
• Exposure to healthcare services, pharma, biotech, or medical technology sectors
