Delaware Valley Companies is seeking an experienced professional to help modernize, automate, and optimize operational workflows across our organization through AI, automation, software development, and business systems integration.
This is not a passive AI role and it is not a traditional IT position.
We are looking for someone with hands-on experience leveraging AI, automation, programming, and system integrations to eliminate inefficiencies, automate repetitive tasks, improve data flow, and solve real operational challenges.
Initial areas of focus will include estimating, project management, and operational workflows, with future opportunities to improve processes across finance, accounting, AR/AP, sales, and enterprise business systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify operational inefficiencies and design scalable solutions using AI and automation.
- Develop and implement workflow automations that reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.
- Build integrations between business systems using APIs and custom development.
- Work directly with operational leaders to understand existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Design and deploy tools, dashboards, and workflow solutions that support organizational growth.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and determine practical applications within the business.
- Support long-term digital transformation initiatives across multiple departments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience implementing AI and workflow automation solutions in a business environment.
- Strong background in programming, software development, or systems engineering.
- Experience working with APIs, software integrations, and data automation.
- Experience with ERP and business management systems (NetSuite experience preferred).
- Ability to analyze business processes and translate operational challenges into scalable technical solutions.
- Experience with workflow automation platforms, scripting, or software development tools.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, finance, estimating, project management, and executive leadership.
Work Environment
This is a highly visible and strategically important role within the organization. To maximize collaboration and gain firsthand exposure to operational workflows, this position requires a minimum of three (3) days per week in-office at either our:
- Audubon, Pennsylvania office, or
- Tampa, Florida office
Additional flexibility may be available based on project needs and performance.
