Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Data Consultant to support the Federal Government in designing and implementing an enterprise-grade financial data automation ecosystem.
This role will focus on integrating Financial Management (FM) data sources, automating critical workflows, and enabling advanced analytics and AI-driven capabilities. The objective is to reduce manual processes, improve data accuracy, enhance cost efficiency, and accelerate audit readiness across financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to integrate multiple financial data sources
- Automate financial workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
- Perform advanced data analysis using Python, PySpark, and SQL on large and complex datasets
- Develop and deploy AI/ML and Generative AI (GenAI) solutions to support financial analytics and reporting
- Build and operationalize Agentic AI use cases for intelligent process automation
- Implement and optimize OCR solutions to extract structured data from unstructured financial documents
- Leverage cloud and data platforms such as Databricks, Palantir, and Microsoft Power Platform
- Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and visualizations for business and technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, engineering, and government stakeholders
- Communicate technical concepts, insights, and recommendations to leadership and non-technical audiences
Required Qualifications
- Active or Interim Secret Clearance (required to start)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, data analytics, or AI/ML development
- Strong programming expertise in:
- Python (including PySpark)
- SQL
- Proven experience working with large-scale and complex datasets
- Hands-on experience implementing OCR technologies
- Solid understanding of:
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts
- Generative AI (GenAI)
- Large Language Models (LLMs) and their practical applications
- Experience with modern data/cloud platforms such as Databricks, Palantir, or Microsoft Power Platform
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Power Automate and/or Power Apps
- Prior experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or federal government clients
- Familiarity with financial systems, audit processes, and compliance frameworks
- Experience delivering AI-enabled automation solutions in production environments
Pay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
