Air Cargo Agent (SeaTac airport)

Title: Air Cargo Agent

Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm,

10:00pm - 6:30pm

4:30pm - 1:00am

We are currently looking for a full-time cargo agent who is knowledgeable in the cargo Import/Export industry.

Description

• Ensure assignments are completed accurately and in timely manner, following all safety rules and regulations while providing good customer service.
• Examines manifest, bills of lading and air waybill to determine work procedures for releasing cargo.
• Notifies consignee or representative concerning arrival dates of shipment, customs clearance requirements and tonnage shipment.
• Checks and collects payments from customers for freight prior to release.
• Computer data entry, preparation of flight documents and acceptance and distribution of cargo in accordance with applicable air carriers and DOT regulations ( Import/Export) Recognizes dangerous goods upon receiving.
• Ensures all local airport, TSA, CBP and FAA rules are followed.
• Must follow all Security procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Requirement

• Must be 18 years of age or older; Must have a High school diploma or GED;
• Must be able to proficiently speak, read and write in English;
• WA valid driver’s license required
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing to include drug testing
• Must be able and flexible to work weekends and holidays including overtime
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges/seals

Additional information

The starting hourly wage for this position is starting $22.00 - $23.00 + paid holidays, 401K match and generous paid time off, on-site parking. This is a non-exempt position.
