Air Compressor Service Technician

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Compressor Service Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of breathing air compressors. You will work both independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality service and technical support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide preventive maintenance services to maintain optimal efficiency and performance of breathing air compressors.

2. Repair or replace faulty components, including motors, valves, pistons, and bearings, to restore compressor performance. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, providing fast and effective solutions and recommend corrective actions.

3. Conduct root-cause analysis for performance issues and propose long-term solutions.

4. Perform installation and commissioning of breathing air compressors at customer sites, ensuring compliance with all technical specifications and safety standards.

5. Conduct operational tests and quality checks to ensure the systems are fully functional.

6. Respond promptly to service calls, providing technical support and troubleshooting for customers. Ensure customer satisfaction by responding to queries and resolving concerns in a timely manner.

7. Maintain strong customer relationships by offering professional, high-quality service and technical advice. Complete service reports, detailing work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance.

8. Maintain accurate records of service activities, equipment status, and inventory of spare parts.

Qualification & Requirement:

1. ITI / Diploma / bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

2. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the servicing, installation, or maintenance of breathing air / reciprocating / screw compressors or related industrial machinery.

3. Good knowledge of breathing air / reciprocating / screw compressor operations, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

4. Experience with compressor fault diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs. Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical and effective solutions under pressure.

5. Good communication skills for interacting with clients and providing detailed service reports.

6. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, managing time and priorities effectively.

7. Ability to lift and carry heavy parts and equipment (up to 25kg).

8. Willingness to travel for on-site service calls and emergency repairs as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
