Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated self employed Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems across various commercial and industrial sites. Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and maintain air conditioning units in line with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Diagnose faults using schematics and technical manuals, performing repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Lead maintenance tasks and oversee small teams during complex installation or repair projects.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure systems operate effectively and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform repairs, and replace faulty components as required.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or refurbishments involving HVAC systems.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance for reporting purposes.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, ensuring safe working environments for yourself and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in mechanical knowledge related to air conditioning systems, including installation and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and manuals accurately.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing or supervising maintenance teams or projects.
- Strong background in equipment repair, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of construction processes relevant to HVAC system integration is desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in HVAC engineering or mechanical engineering are preferred but not essential for entry-level candidates demonstrating relevant experience. Pay: £29,934.85-£49,723.10 per year
