Air Export Freight Forwarder

<Duties>

  • Coordinate and execute air export shipments, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations including FDA regulations and international shipping standards
  • Manage transportation management systems (TMS), EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), and CRM software to track shipments, update statuses, and maintain accurate data entry records
  • Negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements with carriers, 3PL providers, NVOCCs (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers), and other logistics partners to secure optimal freight solutions
  • Oversee dispatching activities, including scheduling pickups, arranging transportation planning, and coordinating with carriers to ensure timely delivery
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through effective account management and inside sales efforts, including lead generation and B2B sales strategies
  • Handle freight documentation such as bills of lading, customs paperwork, and export declarations while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Support sales management initiatives by providing detailed logistics sales insights, pricing strategies, and carrier sales data to maximize revenue opportunities

<Requirements>

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, transportation management, or freight forwarding roles with a focus on air export operations
  • Strong knowledge of logistics processes including transportation planning, dispatching, and carrier negotiations
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), EDI platforms, CRM software (Customer Relationship Management), and AS400 systems for data entry and reporting
  • Excellent negotiation skills combined with a customer-centric approach to account management and inside sales activities
  • Understanding of FDA regulations related to international shipping and export compliance standards
  • Ability to handle complex contracts, pricing negotiations, and lead generation initiatives effectively
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation, dispatching procedures, and data accuracy

Pay: $25.27 - $30.44 per hour
