Key ResponsibilitiesAir Freight Operations (Core)
- Handle end-to-end air import / export / transshipment operations
- Coordinate with airlines, GSAs, ground handlers, warehouses, and overseas agents
- Ensure on-time booking, uplift, delivery, and POD closure
- Manage exceptions: rollovers, delays, documentation issues, offloads, and reworks
DG (Dangerous Goods) Handling
- Process DG shipments in line with IATA DGR requirements
- Verify DGD, MSDS, UN classification, packing, labeling, and airline acceptance
- Coordinate with DG-approved airlines/handlers and ensure compliant storage/handling
Transshipment + Free Zone Expertise (Dubai)
- Execute shipments via JAFZA / DAFZA / DWC / bonded movements as applicable
- Manage customs transfer / re-export / transit formalities (as per UAE processes)
- Plan and control cargo flow to minimize dwell time, penalties, and storage charges
Sea–Air / Air–Sea (Multimodal)
- Manage handovers between port–airport (and vice versa) with bonded trucking
- Coordinate with ocean ops / transport teams for seamless transshipment
- Ensure correct documentation and milestones across both legs
Customer & Key Account Coordination (KAM Support)
- Act as the operational SPOC for assigned customers (post-booking to delivery)
- Provide proactive shipment updates, manage escalations, and drive service recovery
- Support sales/pricing with SOP compliance, operational inputs, and RFQ readiness
Systems, Costing & Compliance
- Update jobs accurately in ERP/Cargo system and maintain complete documentation
- Coordinate with finance for job costing, invoicing triggers, and closing
- Maintain compliance with internal SOPs and customer-specific requirements
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Dubai experience in air freight operations (hands-on)
- Minimum 2 years air cargo experience in a freight forwarding company
- Valid IATA DG certification/license (Cat 6 preferred or equivalent)
- Proven experience in transshipment operations, preferably via Dubai Free Zones
- Working knowledge of MAWB/HAWB, manifests, airline procedures, and export/import documentation
- Strong coordination skills, follow-up discipline, and ability to work under pressure
Preferred / Advantage
- Experience in AOG, ship spares, oil & gas, pharma, time-critical cargo
- Exposure to bonded transfers/re-export processes and multimodal handovers
- Familiarity with major Dubai airports/handlers and airline operational workflows
