Air / Ocean Freight Operations Specialist_Mandarin Fluency

DESCRIPTION:

Freight Operations Specialist serves as a direct liaison between customers, logistics, and related functional units in our organization to ensure timely and accurate processing of orders, and to maintain high customer satisfaction for supporting business growth.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Serve as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, handling order processing, claims, inquiries, and troubleshooting to address customer needs.
• Provide order confirmations and shipment statuses to customers, including relevant details to enhance transparency.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and requests, coordinating with warehouse and other functional teams to achieve resolutions as needed.
• Collaborate proactively with logistics, warehouse, finance, and operations teams to ensure smooth processing and timely fulfillment of customer orders.
• Oversee drayage shipment arrangements, including booking, tracking, and documentation, to guarantee timely and compliant deliveries.
• Compile and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Investigate customer billing disputes and collaborate with relevant teams to identify issues and implement resolutions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required

• 2+ years of experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, with specific experience in drayage operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to interface effectively with customers.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to address complex challenges.
• Experience working with warehouse operations to prioritize and organize work for optimal customer satisfaction.
• Proven time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines with accuracy.
• Detail-oriented with strong multitasking skills and a commitment to effective follow-up.
• Familiarity with warehouse, transportation, or distribution operations.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
