Airbnb Turnover Cleaner (Property Caretaker Role) — Kerhonkson, NY

The basics, up front:

- Where: Kerhonkson, NY and right around it. You'll need to be local.

- When: Year-round. Fridays, Sundays and Mondays are must-work days. Roughly 4–5 days/week.

- Pay: Starts at $20/hr in training, and climbs from there as you get faster and take on more (details below).

- What it is: Cleaning and turning over our short-term rental homes between guests — and growing into caring for the properties, not just cleaning them.

What the job really is

This starts as "turnover" cleaning: a guest checks out, and we get the home spotless and beautifully staged for the next one — often the same day. But it's more than cleaning. We call it caretaking, because we look after these homes like they're our own: noticing when something's worn or off, handling the small repairs and improvements. Our goal is to keep each place guest-ready inside and out. Some days are calm and we work on organizing and improvements. Some days — especially Fridays, Sundays, Mondays — we move fast, with turnovers back to back and new guests arriving within hours. We need someone who can handle both kinds of days.

It's real physical work — on your feet, lifting linens, moving through homes so this role is for someone who likes to be on their feet and move fast. Often there are additional work to be done outdoors in every season: gardening during summers, snow shoveling during winters (we'll buy the good tools, we just need your willingness). And these are boutique homes, styled to look beautiful for five-star reviews. So it's both: the hands-on, sometimes grubby reset AND the eye for making a space genuinely lovely and looking top notch.

Where it can go (and how pay grows)

We'd rather train and keep one great person than churn through cleaners. Pay grows as you do:

- Start at $20/hr while you train alongside the team.

- Up to $25/hr once you're working well on your own.

- $30/hr as you get fast enough to turn over several homes a day with quality.

- $35/hr+ when you can walk a property and see what needs doing without being told.

The more you can do and the more we can trust you, the more you earn. For the right person, this can grow into an operator or management role over time.

We're Dream House in the Gunks — a small team that's cared for short-term rental homes here for about ten years. We're honest, we pay on time, and we want to build a long-term relationship with the person we bring on.

What we're looking for

- Required: local to the Kerhonkson area; reliable on Fridays, Sundays, Mondays year-round; comfortable with physical work; looking for long-term work, not a short gig.

- A big plus: any handy/property-care skills (light fixes, painting, yard work), an eye for making a space look great, and the kind of person who notices what others walk past.
