About Us
Alaska Cub began as Danchini Aero when owner Junior Daniel decided to leave the world of Part 135, and Part 121 maintenance operations to work full time on his favorite aircraft – cubs. Junior chose Wolf Lake Airport as a central location to serve his existing clients and built the hangar that we operate in today to accommodate working on multiple projects at once. Initially a team of one, Alaska Cub has since grown into a much more robust operation with 5 full-time mechanics and a few mechanic helpers all working on cub-type aircraft, Cessnas, and various single-engine aircraft. Our two wolf Wolf Lake hangars are set up with a paint booth, wing jigs, fabrication tooling, a fully stocked Stewart Systems paint and fabric covering room (with on-site paint mixing), plane lift and much more to facilitate any work necessary from new experimental builds through annual maintenance on experimental and certified aircraft.
