Airport Line Technician

The City of Ottumwa is looking for our next Airport Line Technician. This is a part-time position averaging approximately 20 hours per week.

The Line Technician is one of the first points of contact with our guests coming in and out of the Ottumwa Regional Airport, so customer service is key! The Line Technician helps with the upkeep of terminals, hangars and airport grounds, along with fueling planes as they purchase fuel. They make sure terminals are litter-free, clean, safe and organized. The lineman also maintains aircraft hangars so planes can be parked or stored over night or for longer periods of time. During inclement weather, the lineman helps maintain walkways and steps so passengers have a safe route to and from aircraft and they also help de-ice aircraft.

Education / Training

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Aviation background preferred
• Education in aviation maintenance technology program or aviation pilot training program preferred
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
