Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs a variety of duties operating and maintaining City of Bryan ’s Coulter Airfield.
Essential Job Functions
- Provides outstanding CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Fuels aircraft by operating refueler trucks and operating fuel farm equipment
- Assists in aircraft handling operations to include towing
- Maintains airport runways including replacing runway lights and clearing debris from runways
- Provides general maintenance for hangars and terminal building, including daily janitorial duties; secures terminal building at closing time.
- Maintains minimum airport grounds landscaping and trash removal
- Cleans and performs routine maintenance on service trucks and other airport equipment
- Maintains and performs inventory on tools, supplies, and equipment
- Promptly reports all accidents, injuries, theft/loss, broken equipment, or other unsafe practices/conditions to management
- Responds to airport emergencies as required
- Performs other related duties as required
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Willingness to provide outstanding CUSTOMER SERVICE to all patrons.
- Safety conscience and willingness to learn safe airport operations
Equivalent combinations of education, experience, certification, and training may be considered

Licenses, Certifications & Special Requirements
Texas Class C driver’s license with good driving record as measured by the City’s evaluation system
Physical Demands
Physical demands include but are not limited to: sitting, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling and driving; using hands and fingers to operate office equipment and machines; and lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds); may occasionally involve heavier objects and materials (up to 100 pounds).
Working Conditions
Airport fueling operations is performed outdoors. There is exposure to inclement weather, extreme temperature, aircraft engine noise, vibration, moving mechanical parts and equipment, dust, pollen, liquid petroleum products, odors, and fumes.
Equipment
Work shall be performed with tools, appliances, and equipment approved by those agencies and bodies that have control, authority, or approval of the design working ranges or limitations of those items; the employee has the responsibility to conform to those ranges and limitations.
Equipment may include but is not limited to: computer, phone, radio, calculator, fuel delivery system, tug, mower, weed eater, hand tools, and miscellaneous airport vehicles.
