As an Airport Seasonal Technician for the City of Twin Falls, you will support the daily maintenance and operation of the Twin Falls Airport, helping ensure the airfield, grounds, and facilities remain safe, clean, and well-maintained throughout the busy season.

In this hands-on role, you will work under the direction of Airport staff to assist with grounds maintenance, landscaping, and general upkeep of airport property. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment, and contributing to the safe and efficient operation of a public facility.

The City of Twin Falls is currently hiring one (1) Airport Seasonal Technician, and this posting will remain open until the position has been filled.

Description

As an Airport Seasonal Technician, you will:

  • Assist with mowing and maintaining airport greenbelts, lawns, and landscaped areas
  • Help maintain and repair sprinkler systems, including installation of lines and heads
  • Operate and maintain grounds equipment and tools
  • Support general maintenance and upkeep of airport buildings and grounds
  • Assist with seasonal projects and routine maintenance tasks
  • Follow safety procedures while working in an active airport environment
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned duties
  • Perform related duties as assigned
Pay
  • $16.50 per hour
  • May – September, seasonal hourly position (typically 6–8 months depending on operational needs)

  • Ability to work independently and follow direction
  • Basic familiarity with landscaping equipment and maintenance tools
  • Good judgment and attention to safety
  • Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Required Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and operating equipment
  • Ability to safely use tools and equipment
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Work Environment

This position primarily works outdoors in an active airport environment and may involve exposure to heat, cold, wind, and noise. Duties include physical labor such as operating equipment, maintaining grounds, and walking or standing for extended periods.
