Airside Ground Handling Operations Supervisor

Lead the turn. Set the pace. Keep the ramp moving.

As PrimeFlight's Airside Ground Handling Operations Supervisor, you orchestrate safe, efficient aircraft turns while guiding a high-performing ramp team. From baggage flows to towing and ground support equipment, you ensure every movement on the tarmac is deliberate, compliant, and on time.

What your day looks like

You arrive ahead of the first wave, review the day’s flight lineup, and run a focused pre-shift briefing that spotlights hazards, gate assignments, and service priorities. As aircraft arrive, you synchronize loading and unloading, confirm ground support equipment is staged and maintained, and stay in constant contact with flight crews and airport stakeholders. Throughout the shift, you coach team members, resolve issues quickly, and keep meticulous records so each turnaround meets our safety and service standards.

What you’ll lead

  • Oversee ramp operations for safe, orderly loading and unloading of aircraft
  • Coordinate all ramp activities to hit on-time performance targets

  • Conduct performance evaluations and deliver coaching and feedback
  • Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and guidelines, including the safe and legal operation of airport vehicles, equipment, and personnel across airside and landside operations
  • Perform regular audits and inspections to confirm DOT adherence—review maintenance records, driver qualifications, and safety procedures—and train staff on changes to DOT regulations
  • Partner with other airport departments to ensure coordinated operations
  • Maintain accurate records of ramp activities, audits, and incidents
