Alarm Monitor / Dispatcher – 2nd Shift (Full-Time)

Location: North Side of San Antonio – Hollywood Park Area
Compensation: Competitive pay (based on experience)

We are a well-established, locally owned company seeking a reliable, long-term employee looking for stability to join our 2nd shift Alarm Monitoring/Dispatch team. Providing life safety services to our customers and their clients is our top priority. This position requires focus, accuracy, and a strong desire to assist customers in a professional, courteous, and compassionate manner in a call center environment.

Position Details:

  • Position: Alarm Monitor / Dispatcher (Entry-Level)
  • Status: Full-Time (no part-time positions available)
  • Shift After Training: Thursday–Monday, 2:45 PM – 10:45 PM (Days off after training: Tuesday & Wednesday)
  • Facility Operations: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Must be open to working overtime if requested
  • Weekend and holiday availability is required

Training Information (Paid)

  • Training is mandatory
  • Training Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:45 PM – 10:45 PM
  • Duration: Approximately 3 weeks
  • Paid, hands-on, on-the-job training

Qualifications & Eligibility Requirements:

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Detail-oriented with strong accuracy
  • Team player
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Typing speed of 35+ words per minute
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled

Job Duties (After Training):

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Answering multiple phone lines while accurately documenting account history
  • Handling alarm signals by following specific account procedures
  • Documenting all events during alarm activations
  • Communicating with coworkers using internal unified communication systems
  • Placing alarm systems into test mode after proper verification
  • Coordinating with field technicians to verify test signals
  • Communicating with Fire Marshals to verify test signals
  • Opening service tickets for repairs and maintenance
  • Coordinating after-hours response with on-call technicians
  • Data entry and account updates
  • Providing gate access to gated communities after verification of access lists
