Alarm Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Alarm Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of security and alarm systems. Your expertise will ensure that clients’ properties are protected with reliable security solutions CCTV surveillance, sensors, and access control systems. Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test alarm systems, CCTV cameras, sensors, fire alarms, and access control devices in various commercial and residential settings
• Diagnose system malfunctions using schematics, wiring diagrams, and remote access software to identify issues quickly and accurately
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on low-voltage electrical systems, cabling infrastructure, and security hardware to ensure optimal performance
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation and repair tasks
• Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and recommend appropriate system design solutions
• Document all service activities thoroughly through detailed reports and logs for future reference
• Stay current with industry standards such as NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements and emerging security technologies

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a service technician in alarm systems or related fields such as surveillance or telecommunication systems
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience for troubleshooting hardware issues
• Familiarity with computer networking concepts essential for remote access setup and system integration
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately
• Knowledge of low voltage wiring practices, cabling techniques, and construction environments
• Experience working with IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), sensors, CCTV cameras, fire alarm systems, and security system components
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and lock smithing techniques when necessary
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to customer service
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
