Position Overview

We are seeking a part-time Algebra I and/or Chemistry teacher to join our faculty for the this current school year. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching within a classical and Christian framework, demonstrate excellence in their subject area, and have the ability to inspire students toward deeper understanding and love of God’s creation through the study of mathematics and science.

Responsibilities

• Teach Algebra I and/or Chemistry to middle and/or high school students.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons consistent with a classical approach to learning.
• Integrate biblical truth and a Christian worldview into instruction.
• Assess and track student progress through assignments, tests, and projects.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Contribute to the life of the school community through collaboration and support of the school’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Science, Education, or a related field required (Master’s degree preferred).
• Prior teaching experience, preferably in a Christian or classical school setting.
• Strong understanding of Algebra I and/or Chemistry content and pedagogy.
• A demonstrated commitment to the Christian faith and alignment with the school’s statement of faith.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to cultivate a joyful, orderly, and rigorous learning environment.

Schedule & Compensation

• Part-time position (approximately 2-4 classes per day).
• Compensation commensurate with education, experience, and class load.
