Job Summary:
The Primary School Teacher is responsible for providing a strong educational foundation to students through engaging and age-appropriate instruction. The role involves planning lessons, nurturing creativity, developing social and emotional skills, and fostering a love for learning among young children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver creative and well-structured lessons according to the school curriculum.
- Foster intellectual and social development of students through interactive and activity-based learning.
- Assess, record, and report on students’ progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
- Encourage positive behavior, discipline, and respect among students.
- Create a safe, caring, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity and learning.
- Integrate visual aids, storytelling, hands-on activities, and technology into daily lessons.
- Communicate regularly with parents to share progress and address individual needs.
- Collaborate with other teachers and coordinators to plan academic and co-curricular activities.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
- Uphold the school’s mission, vision, and values in all professional interactions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant field (B.Ed mandatory).
- Strong understanding of child development and primary education pedagogy.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Creative, patient, and enthusiastic teaching approach.
- Ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to use digital teaching tools.
Preferred Experience:
- 1–5 years of teaching experience in a primary school setting.
- Experience in activity-based or experiential learning programs is an added advantage.
