Job Responsibilities

• Lead daily analytical workflows involving, overall planning of lab activities, feed proximate, colometric, and gas chromatography/gas analyses to support ruminant nutrition research.
• Maintain and monitor RUSITEC (Rumen Simulating Technique) and other in vitro systems, ensuring the integrity of operations through precise feeding and sampling schedules.
• Data Synthesis: Collect and summarize lab data, delivering comprehensive and accurate reports to the Laboratory Manager.
• Operational Oversight: Manage laboratory logistics, including inventory procurement, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting of analytical instruments.
• Support: Provide technical assistance to various stakeholders including other research team members, partner laboratories, and customers.

Desired Skills and Experience

• BS in Animal Science, Dairy Science, or a related field.
• Strong self-motivation paired with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and interact professionally with customers.
• Forklift experience preferred but not required (on-site training provided).
• Flexibility for limited weekend shifts (2–3 hours) during RUSITEC trials (5–6 weekends/year).
