Trial Library, Inc. is a venture-backed startup founded in 2022 focused on accelerating enrollment and retention to clinical trials with an AI-platform. Trial Library is a mission-driven health technology company dedicated to improving health equity in cancer care by expanding access to precision medicine through clinical trials. We work with community oncology sites, patients, and industry partners to ensure that clinical research is accessible, navigable, and inclusive.
As an Ally Navigator, you'll be responsible for guiding patients with cancer and their caregivers through the process of learning about clinical trials as a potential treatment option, as well as the steps needed to participate in a therapeutic clinical trial at a study site. You will be the first touchpoint for patients, understanding how to best help and serve them during their most vulnerable time. To be successful in this role, you must have extensive knowledge of clinical research and the ability to communicate complex information effectively across various backgrounds and health literacy levels.
Your Responsibilities

Serve as liaison between health systems, community providers, and patients

Navigate patients through the clinical trial referral, screening, and enrollment process

Provide individualized counseling on social determinants of health and assist patients with applying for and utilizing resources to overcome barriers to care

Facilitate seamless handoff to clinical research sites and ensure transfer of relevant patient medical records

Maintain short- and long-term follow-up with patients as needed

Practice cultural humility when engaging with patients and families

Respond promptly to inbound inquiries from Trial Library users, including patients, clinicians, and researchers

Document and resolve issues that arise throughout the patient experience

Contribute to and refine internal SOPs for Ally Navigation Services workflows

Prepare and maintain weekly status reports on patient tracking, provider outreach, and other Ally Team Navigator activities

Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to improve the patient experience and drive adoption of Trial Library through new features, workflows, and service lines

Generate external-facing content for clinical trial education and resources

Your Qualifications

Nursing degree or equivalent training (RN, LPN, or NP) required; active license not required

Clinical experience in oncology, hematology, or a related cancer care setting required

Experience in clinical research, patient navigation, or patient advocacy

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Empathetic approach with ability to provide emotional support during high-stress situations

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and prioritize based on importance and urgency

Ability to collect and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources

Comfortable working across diverse stakeholder groups with varying functional priorities

Compensation & On-Site Requirement
This is a hybrid role based in the San Francisco, CA, with a requirement of three days per week in the office. The salary range for this position is
$66,600-$83,250
per year and reflects a good faith estimate of base pay for candidates working in this location. Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
