SUMMARY:
The position consists of, but is not limited to, transport of product to depot(s), off loading of product from trailer to branch vehicles, other work as necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that loads to and from Plants / Branches /locations are done so accurately, professionally, and in a timely manner
- Provide courteous, efficient service
- Ensure that all loads picked up are signed for
- Ensure that the paperwork for the loads delivered is left at the appropriate location
- Keep truck neat, clean and fueled
- Check oil, refrigeration unit, radiator and battery every day
- Maintain a good driving record
- Maintain a daily Log Sheet that is to be turned in daily at the end of the shift
- Put forth a positive image of the Company through attitude, appearance, and performance
- Wear uniform Company provides at all times
- Know and apply Company policies, standards, and specifications
- Know and apply Safety policies, procedures, and requirements for lifting, pulling, and equipment operation
- Know and apply principles of product rotation, dates, codes, and sizes
- Meet departmental safety, quality and productivity goals.
- Follow and enforce established policies, processes and procedures and report any violations to management for corrective action.
- Accurately complete and submit assigned reports and maintain logs and other records.
- Proactively interact and communicate inter and intra-departmentally to ensure consistent and efficient work flow.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 1 year Class A driving and delivery work experience.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Safely drive tractors
- Work well with peers and supervisors
- Read, understand, and carry out instructions.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Assess and resolve problems.
- Comply with safety and operational policies, procedures, and processes.
- Maintain excellent attendance.
Compensation Details
- Up to $34.74
- .50 cent shift differential for all hours worked between 6:00 pm and 6:00 am
