Altium Design Embedded engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled PCB Design Engineer with 3+ years of hands-on experience in Altium Designer for multilayer PCB design. The candidate will be responsible for schematic capture, PCB layout, fabrication file generation, and coordination with PCB fabrication vendors to ensure successful PCB development and production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop multilayer PCBs (up to 4/6/8 layers or more) using Altium Designer.
• Perform schematic capture, component library creation, and footprint development.
• Execute high-speed and mixed-signal PCB layout considering:
• Signal integrity, Power integrity, EMI/EMC guidelines, Thermal management
• Generate manufacturing outputs:
• Gerber files, ODB++, Drill files, Pick & Place files, Fabrication drawings
• Define PCB stack-up in coordination with fabrication vendors.
• Coordinate with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors for:
• DFM (Design for Manufacturability) review, DRC compliance, Impedance, control requirements, Material selection
• Resolve fabrication-related issues and support proto builds.
• Support hardware testing and debugging activities.
• Work closely with hardware, firmware, and mechanical teams.
• Maintain PCB documentation and version control.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in ECE / Electrical / Relevant field., ME/M.Tech embedded systems
• 3+ years of experience in PCB design using Altium Designer.
• Strong understanding of:
• Multilayer PCB stack-up design, High-speed routing techniques, Differential pair routing, Impedance-controlled PCB design, Power supply layout techniques
• Experience in working with PCB fabrication vendors.
• Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-7351 preferred).
• Ability to review schematics and suggest layout improvements.
• Experience with BOM coordination and component selection support.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in high-speed interfaces (USB, Ethernet, CAN, SPI, I2C, DDR).
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC compliance practices.
• Exposure to aerospace/automotive/industrial design standards.
• Experience in conformal coating and environmental qualification boards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
