Aluminum Buyer (Sales & Purchasing)

This role is based at Connecticut Metal Industries; a division of Clean Metals focused on aluminum recycling. The team sources, processes recycled materials, keeping valuable metals in use and out of landfills.

We’re looking for an Aluminum Buyer who’s passionate about sustainability and excited to grow. You’ll play a key role in developing new businesses, managing supplier relationships, and helping scale our business. While prior industry experience is preferred, we are committed to providing comprehensive training for the right candidate.

What You’ll Do

• Proactively call on new accounts and pursue new business opportunities
• Manage and grow a book of business
• Build relationships with international customers
• Negotiate pricing and contracts to support profitability
• Track market trends and analyze commodity pricing
• Coordinate international logistics, documentation, and compliance
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure operational and service excellence
• Support growth in international channels as needed

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in sales or purchasing, ideally within recycling or industrial sectors. While prior industry experience is preferred, we are committed to providing comprehensive training for the right candidate
• Confident cold caller and strong communicator
• Skilled negotiator with market awareness
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• Passion for sustainability and circular economy principles
