Aluminum Draftsman – Job Description

Job Summary:
An Aluminum Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and shop drawings for aluminum fabrication projects, including doors, windows, curtain walls, partitions, and other architectural aluminum works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings for aluminum works.
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and site teams.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and standards.
• Revise drawings based on client or consultant comments.
• Prepare material take-offs when required.
• Maintain proper documentation and drawing records.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Proven experience in aluminum drafting and fabrication drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (knowledge of other drafting software is a plus).
• Strong understanding of aluminum systems (doors, windows, curtain walls, etc.).
• Good communication and coordination skills.
