Aluminum Fabricator (Factory-Based – Workshop Role)

Job Summary:

The Aluminum Fabricator is responsible for the cutting, machining, and assembly of aluminum profiles and components in the workshop to produce high-quality windows, doors, curtain walls, partitions, and structural systems as per approved drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Fabrication & Assembly

· Cut, shape, drill, and assemble aluminum profiles as per shop drawings.

· Operate machinery such as double-head saws, single saws, drills, punching machines, and grinders.

· Prepare frames, sashes, and sub-assemblies for site installation.

Measurements & Drawings

· Read and interpret shop drawings and cutting lists.

· Ensure accurate measurements and profile preparation to minimize wastage.

Quality Control

· Check fabricated items for alignment, squareness, finish, and workmanship.

· Ensure products meet STEEL DISTRICT quality standards before dispatch.

Material Handling

· Handle aluminum profiles, glass, and accessories safely in the workshop.

· Support loading of finished items for site delivery.

Maintenance & Housekeeping

· Maintain tools and machines in good working condition.

· Keep work areas clean and organized.

Safety Compliance

· Follow all PPE and workshop safety rules at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

· A minimum of 5 years of experience in aluminum fabrication is required.

· Experience with Gulf Extrusions profiles is required.

· Knowledge of European systems (e.g., Alumil, Technal) is an advantage.

Technical Skills

· Operation of aluminum cutting and machining tools.

· Ability to read shop drawings and cutting lists.

· Understanding of aluminum profiles, accessories, and joinery methods.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift and move profiles and fabricated frames.

· Comfortable working long hours in a workshop environment.
