Aluminum Welder (MiG & TiG)

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Aluminum Welder specializing in MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for welding aluminum components with precision and efficiency, ensuring all work meets industry standards and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction and manufacturing projects, utilizing your expertise in sheet metal and other fabrication techniques. Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum materials according to blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble components.
  • Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and weld integrity.
  • Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, grinding, and fitting parts prior to welding.
  • Follow safety protocols related to rigging, crane operation, scaffolding, and working at heights on construction sites.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed in accordance with ASME codes & standards and project specifications.

Skills

  • Proven experience with MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and <LOCATION> welding techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, mechanical drawings, and fabrication plans.
  • Familiarity with construction site environments and safety procedures including crane operation and rigging.
  • Ability to use calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and soldering equipment effectively.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
  • Experience working with sheet metal, ductwork, piping systems including pipe threading.
  • Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining and assembly of components.
  • Understanding of ASME codes & standards applicable to welding and fabrication projects.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
