Position Summary

Alumni Engagement & Philanthropy will support and engage Rosecrance Therapies Alumni. This position serves to foster a supportive community for individuals who have completed a Rosecrance Therapies program, ensuring that they have access to continued resources, mentorship, and development opportunities. The Alumni Associate works to develop and implement programs that promote connection, skill-building, personal growth, and grateful client programs while being a referral source in the community. Alumni Engagement & Philanthropy is key to helping alumni maintain their recovery and thrive in their personal and professional lives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Behavioral Health or other equivalent training and experience
  • Experience navigating mental health systems or services, with the ability to offer peer-based support rooted in personal insight and empathy
  • Working knowledge of the 12-step philosophy and programs
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and personalities
  • Experience in coordinating services with a range of community resources
  • Displays a calm, empathetic and professional demeanor
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to meet agency insurance requirements
  • Must have own transportation to travel to various sites
  • Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance

Responsibilities:

1.Work hours prescribed and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
2.Maintain and strengthen relationships with alumni and their family through consistent communication.
3.Serve as the primary point of contact for alumni engagement inquiries and outreach.
4.Develop and implement a strategic engagement plan.
5.Coordinate events (virtual and in-person) such as reunions, appreciation receptions, networking mixers, and panels.
6.Establish alumni recognition programs or spotlights to highlight success stories and build community.
7.Maintain an up-to-date alumni database including contact info, engagement history and areas of interest.
8.Create and distribute newsletters, and personalized updates that reinforce the value of ongoing involvement.
9.Recruit and train alumni to serve as volunteers, mentors, speakers, or advocates.
10.Support or lead alumni giving campaigns and fundraising initiatives.
11.Partner with development staff to identify potential donors.
12.Engage and steward individuals with lived experience by inviting them to participate in fund development events, supporting annual appeals, and maintaining relationships with alumni donors.
13.Work with internal stakeholders including alumni, clinical, communications and development teams to ensure alumni initiatives are integrated across departments.
14.Track and analyze alumni and client engagement metrics – including event participation, volunteer hours, giving history, experience feedback, long term outcomes and other philanthropic indicators to inform outreach and development strategies.
15.Work to increase the number of alumni supporting the Rosecrance Foundation and serving on the PLC.

16.Work on strategies to increase number of referrals and the percentage of alumni using the alumni app.
17.Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the professional Code of Conduct and within the framework of the law.
18.Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
19.Serve as a role model and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing the agency.
20.Assume other related responsibilities as delegated by management.

Schedule: 8-hour shifts

  • Hours: Monday- Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Shift: 1st

Work Location: Rosecrance RMG Office- 2340 S. River Road Des Plaines, IL

Work Mode: Onsite

Compensation & Rewards

Starting Pay (based on education, experience, and credentials)

  • Starting Salary: $50,835.20
