The Alumni Manager will have a strong commitment to the mission and vision of Dominican High School and will serve as the primary liaison between Dominican and its alumni. Responsible for relationship building with alumni and strengthening their participation and commitment to Dominican.
Key Responsibilities
o Create opportunities for alumni to engage with the Dominican community.
o Serve as the point person for alumni reunions; work with reunion chairs to assist with planning, coordinate invitation mailing, track RSVPs, payment, and donations as part of a class gift, attend reunions, and complete follow-up communication. Provide follow-up data on prospective donors from all reunions for the Director of Advancement and the President.
o Direct and coordinate annual All-School Reunion Weekend.
o Direct and coordinate annual Alumni Career Day, a school day event that matches students’ career interests with alumni in the business community.
o Coordinate and attend the annual Young Alum Auction Benefit Party.
o Create and implement a yearly plan to engage alumni in school-sponsored events. Serve as a point person at stated events.
o Research potential alumni and write updates and articles on alumni for the summer and fall magazines (publications) for Dominican.
• Implement the Expansion of the Alumni Database.
o Become efficient in Blackbaud RENXT and PowerSchool database systems to update and expand alumni contact and profile information.
o Share relevant information with the Director of Advancement and the President for outreach purposes. Collaborate with the Communications Manager to create alumni updates for Dominican publications, monthly eblasts, and social media.
o Partner with the Admissions Department and feeder school liaisons to identify legacy students.
o Execute strategic outreach to alumni and nurture relationships through phone calls, emails, individual visits, and small and large group gatherings.
o Work with Advancement and Academic department members to identify and shape effective alumni communication and messaging through a variety of
channels, including social media, monthly alumni email newsletters, the Dominican website, magazines, appeals, etc.
o Under the direction of the Director of Advancement, help create a comprehensive development plan each year that includes long-term goals, annual milestones, and specific strategies for the annual fund, capital needs, special projects, and planned giving.
o Increase alumni participation in the annual fund through the Knights 360 Club.
o Identify, gather, and record information on alumni who have the potential to be major gift prospects for the Director of Advancement and President.
o Increase alumni attendance and alumni sponsorship for Advancement events.
o Assist with the execution of Advancement events such as: auction, golf outing, KnightWalk, KnightRun, Alumni Reunion Weekend, Benefit Parties, etc.
o Assist in the coordination of the KnightWalk student phone-a-thon.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
Experience in fundraising, donor stewardship and event planning is desirable.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
