This full-time or part-time opportunity offers up to 40 hours per week.

**Position requires up to a week of new employee orientation and the availability to work every other weekend and every other holiday.

Mental Health Technicians work directly with patients to provide support and hope. The Mental Health Technician position serves as an awesome foundation for people looking to grow their career in the area of nursing, therapy, social work, and substance use disorders.

Prairie St. John's has been providing services for children, adolescents, and adults to address behavioral health and substance use challenges since 1997. Prairie offers inpatient hospitalization, day treatment, intensive outpatient services, MAT and supportive housing. Accredited by The Joint Commission, we are the largest, freestanding behavioral health facility in the region. More than 5,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Prairie St. John's.

Part time and full-time temporary positions available!

Shifts available:

AM-7:00am-3:30pm

PM-3:00pm-11:30pm

NOC- 11:00pm-7:30am

Mental Health Technician Job Requirements:

  • Good communication and relationship skills including the ability to set boundaries, hold confidences, establish and maintain trust
  • Experience working with people struggling with mental health or substance use and/or pursuing a degree in nursing, psychology, sociology, pre-med, social work, counseling or other behavioral science related majors
