Hostess at the Marriott Buttes Resort

Job description
BASIC PURPOSE: Greet and seat all guests, answer phone calls, taking reservations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Greet and direct all guests.
  • Ensure all tables are properly set before seating guests.
  • Answer phone properly and follow all reservation procedures.
  • Organize and maintain a clean station.
  • Assist barista in taking orders and enter into point of sales.
  • Collect payment and make correct change when necessary.
  • Prepare coffee and drink orders according to specifications.
  • Package and deliver food orders.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Maintain an inventory of needed supplies.
  • Ensure all menus are clean before shift.
  • Be familiar with hotel facilities and their location and hours.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Education: Ability to read and write English.
  • Skills and Abilities: Communication and hospitality skills (English required).
  • Ability to answer phones.
  • Ability to work with money.
  • No. of employees supervised: None.
  • Travel required: None.
  • Hours Required: Full-time required to work 30 plus hours weekly.
  • Part-time required to work less than 30 hours weekly.
  • Scheduled hours and days may vary based on need.
