Amada Laser/NC Punch Operator - 5+ years experience

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Amada Laser/NC Punch Operator with over five years of experience to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate advanced laser cutting and NC punch machinery to produce precise metal components, ensuring high-quality standards and efficient workflow. Your expertise in CNC programming, tooling, and blueprint reading will be essential to meet production goals while maintaining safety and quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment in a fast-paced, innovative environment dedicated to excellence in manufacturing.

Duties

  • Set up, program, and operate Amada laser , EM and EMLK (combo) machines to produce complex metal parts according to detailed specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize machine efficiency, reduce waste, and improve workflow processes.
  • Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, calipers.
  • Must own your own precision hand tools (calipers, squares, etc)
  • Maintain detailed documentation of machine setups, production runs, and inspection reports; troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols, schematics, electrical discharge machining (EDM) procedures, and mechanical guidelines during operation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of hands-on experience operating Amada laser cutting systems and NC punch presses in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, geometry calculations, machining processes, and precision measurement instruments like micrometers and bore gauges.
  • Ability to interpret schematics accurately while demonstrating excellent math skills for precise machining tasks.
  • Must be able to perform your own setups and work independently to keep "green lights" running efficiently.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
